Cashier/Door Greeter

Cashier/Door Greeter Description:

Cashier/door greeter responsibilities include processing all cash transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures, welcoming guests, providing accurate wait times, managing waiting guests, seating guests, and assisting with takeout orders. A successful cashier/door greeter will play a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction by greeting customers when entering or leaving our establishment, answering phones, taking to call-ahead orders, and accurately handling money and making change. Our cashiers/door greeters work under immediate supervision of the manager on duty.

Cashier/Door Greeter Skills:

  • Contributes to a friendly, welcoming restaurant environment.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette.

  • Accurately and efficiently handles cash and makes change.

  • Performs a variety of tasks including greeting and seating customers, coordinating with staff about available seating, processing payment transactions, taking to go orders via phone, expediting to go orders, redeeming coupons, issuing receipts and refunds, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area, checking materials and supplies and reporting when stock is low.

  • Responds to guest comments and criticisms in a positive and constructive manner and works continuously to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume and sets a positive example for staff.

  • Understands team dynamics and facilitates teamwork amongst the staff.

  • Skilled in solving over-the-counter inquiries and problems.

  • Well organized and detail oriented.

  • Able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Monitors compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.

  • Fills in, if available, for absent employees when coverage is not found.

Cashier/Door Greeter Requirements:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent

  • Cashier/host experience preferred

  • Ability to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays

  • Likely 5-day workweek — 30-40 hours per week

  • Computer competency skills

  • Food Manager Certification preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stretch for duration of shift

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull approximately 50 lbs

Kitchen Porter

Kitchen Porter Description:

Kitchen porter responsibilities include unloading deliveries and neatly putting supplies away; ensuring all cooler and storage areas are kept clean and organized; rotating stock when product comes in using the First In, First Out rule; helping manage inventory; maintaining a clean preparation and cooking area; and assisting with prep work as needed. We’re looking for a good listener who manages time well and is able to multi-task.

Kitchen Porter Skills:

  • Contributes to a positive and professional restaurant environment.

  • Performs a variety of tasks including

  • Sweeping of interior/exterior building premises

  • Maintenance of trash containers on premises

  • General cleanup of spills as needed

  • Reporting damaged or defective equipment

  • Performing additional cleaning duties as requested.

  • Cooperates and works well with the rest of the staff.

  • Works under the supervision of the General Manager but relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and solve problems.

  • Responds to comments and criticisms in a positive and constructive manner and promptly corrects any problems.

  • Works continuously to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume and sets a positive example for others.

  • Able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Complies with food safety, sanitary, and hygiene regulations.

  • Fills in for fellow employees where needed to ensure service standards and efficient operations.

Kitchen Porter Requirements:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent

  • Restaurant experience helpful

  • Likely 5-day workweek — at minimum Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

  • Ability to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays

  • Food Certification preferred

  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stretch for duration of shift

Line Cook

Line Cook Description:

Line cook responsibilities include responsive food preparation that creates a positive dining experience for all guests, as well as maintaining production, quality, and customer-service standards.  We’re looking for a good listener who manages time well and is able to multi-task.

Line Cook Skills:

  • Contributes to a positive and professional restaurant environment.

  • Possesses knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

  • Performs a variety of tasks including setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service, maintaining sufficient levels of food on the line, cooking menu items, keeping clean stations, taking care of leftover food, and notifying managers of inventory needs. No task is too small, including taking out the trash.

  • Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.

  • Cooperates and works well with the rest of the kitchen staff.

  • Works under the supervision of the General Manager but relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and solve problems.

  • Responds to comments and criticisms in a positive and constructive manner and promptly corrects any problems.

  • Works continuously to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume and sets a positive example for others.

  • Able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Complies with food safety, sanitary, and hygiene regulations.

  • Fills in for fellow employees where needed to ensure service standards and efficient operations.

Line Cook Requirements:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent

  • 2-3 years of restaurant experience preferred

  • Ability to work flexible hours that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays

  • Likely 5-day workweek ­— 35-45 hours per week

  • Food Certification preferred

  • Bilingual proficiency preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend and stretch for duration of shift

    Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull approximately 50 lbs
